Defining East Tennessee in the world of whole hog and establishing roots for a low and slow bbq.
Ole Smoky has been making moonshine in the Smoky Mountains ever since our ancestors settled in the area over a hundred years ago—but it wasn't until Tennessee state law changed that they were able to legally open up their first federally licensed distillery in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. That's right, the moonshine business hasn't always been on the right side of the law, but since it led Ole Smoky to where they are now, crafting some of the best moonshines and whiskies you're ever gonna taste, you could say it was totally worth it. (And you'd be right.)
Today, Ole Smoky still make that kick-in-the-mouth moonshine folks have loved for over a century, but they've also continued to innovate with flavors like Hunch Punch, Peach and Apple Pie; because having a heritage you're proud of is great and all, but being really great today is even better.
Delicious burnt ends! I really enjoyed the collards too! My husband had the half chicken and it was so juicy! The sweet potato waffle fries are great too! It’s our favorite local BBQ.
Solid option for BBQ. We ordered the ribs, burnt ends and pulled pork. All were pretty good. I wouldn't say it's the best BBQ I've ever had but pretty good. Service was excellent, place was clean and they have beers by the ounce.
Absolutely the real deal! We love BBQ and have had it from all across the US and this was among the best we've ever had! So good we had it 2 nights in a row. Will definitely be on our list to eat at every time we're in town.
Great service and tasty food. Relaxed atmosphere and they even have a self pour beer wall.
This place is GREAT! Way too much food, but it was so good I couldn’t stop eating. Burnt ends were perfect and the meatloaf with tomato jam is a must. My wife had the ribs and she loved them, great flavor and bark. We’ll be back.
